Experience and Achievements:

Mr. Gautam is the overall head of the organization. Mr. Gautam has extensive knowledge and over 4 decades of experience in business processes in both Government and Private sector. He has discharged his duties in various functions e.g., Product Management, Projects Management, Sales and Marketing of Consumer, Industrial and Commercial Products. He has dealt extensively with customers in the Power Sector, Industries, EPC Contractors and Channel Network.

He has vast experience in executing turnkey EPC contracts encompassing planning, procurement, design, engineering, project management and finance. He has also been involved in several solar projects / installations. He has been associated with many large national and international projects in HV and EHV (11 to 33KV, 132kV and 230kV) installations in India and abroad.

He has devised many strategies for Marketing wires and cables in retail, OEM and Industrial segments. Under his leadership Finolex Cables Ltd. had a manifold increase in Sales.

Education

Mr. Gautam has a 1st class Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering (BEE) from Jadavpur University, Calcutta, India. He is also an MBA in Finance (1st Class)

Fellowship / Recognition:

He is a Fellow of Institution of Engineers, India (FIE).

He has also been awarded one of the 100 most talented Brand Leaders by CMO Council at World Brand Congress in the year 2014. Earlier in 2012 also, he received an award as one of the 50 most talented Brand Leaders of India.

He also holds a Supervisors Certificate of Competency (SCC) issued by the Chief Electrical Inspector of Government of West Bengal which enables him to take up and supervise Electrical Installation jobs across the country.

Present Role:

He is one of the Owners and Enterprise Chief of AEGASUN Energy. Incorporated in 2010 in Pune, India, AEGASUN has been in the field of Solar Energy Products and Services in Thermal and PV, both as a manufacturer and as a System Integrator.

Previous Assignments:

He was with Finolex Cables Ltd. (FCL), in Pune, India for over 13 years. He served FCL as the Head of Sales and Marketing of wires and cables. He served in the capacity of President Marketing and was also the Head of Power Cable Business. He was a Director on the Board of Finolex J-Power Systems Ltd. a Joint Venture company between FCL and J-Power Systems (JPS), Japan in High Voltage Electrical Engineering field. JPS is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sumitomo Electric Industries of Japan. Mr. Banerjee was responsible for the High and Extra High Voltage Cable business of the company.

Prior to Finolex, he worked in Cable Corporation of India Ltd as General Manager, Projects and International Business and set up their Projects Division to deal with turnkey projects in Electrical field including EHV Cables.

Industry Associations:

Mr. Banerjee was the Chairman of Cable Division of Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers Association (IEEMA) which is a leading national body in India. IEEMA has over 800 companies as members and they represent over 90% production of the country. Cable Division is the largest amongst all the Divisions of IEEMA.
